With many Calgarians employed directly or indirectly in the energy sector, the announcement that LNG Canada Phase 2 is being referred to the Major Projects Office for fast-track consideration is a positive step forward. 
Growth in the energy sector doesn’t just mean jobs in oil and gas—it drives economic opportunities in our communities, from home and childcare services to local shops, entertainment, and social programs.
I’ve heard from Ward 2 residents about concerns like affordability, cost of living, and economic development. Projects like this can help address those issues and benefit all of Calgary.
Having worked extensively in oil and gas, I’ve seen firsthand the opportunities our world-class product delivers. As your Ward 2 Councillor, I will be a strong voice for initiatives that support families, friends, and neighbours across our city.
